Privacy & Cookie Policy
How Laydox handles your personal data and uses cookies, and the choices you have. We keep this short and specific to what this website actually does.
Who we are
This website is operated by Leitstern Unipessoal LDA (“Laydox”, “we”, “us”), a company based in Portugal (EU). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@laydox.com for any privacy question or to exercise your rights.

What data we process and why
We only process the data we need to answer your requests and run this website securely.
- Quote and contact requests. When you use the quote form or email us, we process the details you provide — the services you select, your name, company, email address, and any message or files. We use this to prepare a quote and to reply to you. Legal basis: pre-contractual and contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, where you volunteer extra information, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider processes standard server data such as IP address, browser type, and time of request, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Anti-spam on the form. The quote form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans from bots. This may set a short-lived security cookie and process technical signals from your browser. Legal basis: legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Analytics. If you agree, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregated, anonymous usage and improve the site. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. On your first visit we show a banner so you can accept or refuse non-essential cookies before they load. Essential cookies are always active because the site cannot work properly without them; everything else runs only if you consent.
| Category | Purpose | Examples & retention |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary |
Remembering your cookie choice and protecting the quote form from spam. The site does not function correctly without these. | laydox_cookie_consent — your choice, up to 6 months.Cloudflare Turnstile — short-lived security cookie, set only when you use the form. |
| Statistical |
Measuring aggregated site usage (pages viewed, rough location, device type) so we can improve content and performance. Loaded only after you accept. | Google Analytics 4 — _ga up to 2 years, _gid up to 24 hours. |
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place lawfully.
Third parties and where data goes
We share data only with providers that help us run this website, and only as far as needed:
- Hosting — our infrastructure provider (dominios.pt) stores the site and processes server logs.
- Cloudflare — provides the Turnstile anti-spam check on the quote form.
- Google — delivers the web fonts used to display the site and, with your consent, provides Google Analytics. These services may transfer data outside the EU under the appropriate safeguards (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
When you send a quote request, we may contact suppliers or specialists to fulfil it; they receive only the data strictly necessary and act as independent controllers for their own records.
How long we keep it
We keep quote and contact requests for up to 24 months after our last relevant contact, unless a longer period is required by law or to handle a dispute. Cookie lifetimes are listed in the table above. Your recorded cookie choice is kept until you change or delete it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or provide it in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@laydox.com and we will respond within one month (Art. 12(3) GDPR), extendable if the request is complex.
If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD, www.cnpd.pt).
Managing cookies in your browser
Besides our banner, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working. Analytics cookies are never set unless you accept them here.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or our providers change. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
